Z2’s management team has over 100 combined years of experience in the oil and gas and financial services industries.

Working together, we are able to focus on the things that matter: what the risks and opportunities of each potential acquisition are and how these risks and opportunities can be minimized or exploited to maximize the value of the field for the benefit of the shareholders. We will likely turn down many more opportunities than we pursue because either the financial parameters do not make sense or we cannot determine how production can be enhanced.

Z2’s financial people are adept at understanding the needs of the sellers and using those needs to structure a deal that maximizes the yield to shareholders. Often, this is accomplished by enticing the owners to hold paper on the purchase or by structuring different deals with each owner, as was done with a recent South Texas acquisition for another company. In addition, through our experience in the review of engineering reports, Z2 was able to more than double the initial amount available as based on the engineering report from a bank lender.

All of this together means that Z2 will have an advantage over other small E&P companies to identify the correct acquisition, structure the deal correctly and operate the field in the best possible fashion.
